Generate X templates are compatible with Photoshop and Bridge CS4. While not included in the installation, they are included with the Optional Plug-Ins, Extensions and Presets files located in the 'Goodies' folder and are easy to set up following the three steps detailed below. These optional files are on the installation disc, or as part of the additional download which was available if you purchased the download version of CS4. These files are also available from the Adobe site at:

The screen shots used in this tutorial have been taken on a Mac OS X operating system, but still serve as a helpful visual guide for other operating systems.

#1 - Close Photoshop and Bridge. From either the disc or download, select your language, then open Goodies/Optional Plugins/Automate/WebContactSheetll.plugin



Paste this file into the following location:

• Windows Users - Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS4/Automate
• Mac Users - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Automate

#2 - Now go back to the Goodies folder and select Presets/Web Photo Gallery and copy the entire folder (with contents inside).


Paste the Web Photo Gallery folder into the following location:

• Windows Users - Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS4/Presets
• Mac Users - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets

#3 - Make one more trip back to the Goodies folder for two more items located in the Optional plug-ins/Bridge Startup Scripts/photoshop_web_contact_sheet (the entire folder) and photoshop_web_contact_sheet.jsx



Paste the folder and the .jsx file into the following location:

• Windows Users - Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop
• Windows Vista 64-bit Users - Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop
• Mac Users - Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS4/Adobe Photoshop

That's it! Photoshop and Bridge CS4 are now configured. You can now proceed with installation of your new template, or copy and paste your previously purchased Generate X templates from your CS2 or CS3 Web Photo Gallery folder into your new CS4 folder. If you have any questions, contact support.
